Join the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) to learn more about the recently released guidance on the priority of service provisions in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult program.

Description

In preparation for this webinar, attendees are encouraged to review the recent guidance, Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) 07-20, Effective Implementation of Priority of Service Provisions for Most in Need Individuals in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Program.  This guidance describes the WIOA requirement that individuals who are low-income, basic skills deficient, or who are recipients of public assistance must receive priority when receiving individualized career services or training services in the WIOA Adult program.  In this webinar, ETA will discuss its vision for implementing the priority of service requirements in the WIOA Adult program through a One Workforce system approach, including requirements, ETA ongoing improvement efforts, and resources available to best serve these populations.

This webinar will cover the following topics:

  1. The Vision and Requirements described in TEGL 07-20;
  2. ETA’s process for monitoring these requirements using performance data; and
  3. Leveraging other resources to support WIOA Adult priority populations.
