This webinar provides an overview of two tools that state or local workforce agencies ready to conduct rigorous evaluations of their programs can use to plan their evaluation projects and determine where additional resources or technical assistance may be needed.

Building on the flash webinar “An Evaluation Readiness Assessment Tool—Prioritizing Efforts to Measure Effectiveness,” this session presents two tools that state workforce agencies can use as they move forward with conducting evaluations of their programs. Evaluation Design and Implementation Assessment: A WIOA Quick Start Action Planner assesses five key elements necessary for evaluation design and implementation. The Evidence Says: Evaluations of Programs With Work-Based Learning infographic highlights results from rigorous research studies on programs that include work-based learning strategies. The presenters will describe how agencies can use these tools to help them choose which programs to evaluate, determine the appropriate evaluation design, and develop effective research questions.
