The Census Bureau is hosting an Economic Census webinar series, beginning in March, 2020.
These webinars are part of a series that provide updates on the latest data from the 2017 Economic Census, with a focus on groupings of states or industry sectors.
About the Economic Census Data
Every five years, the Census Bureau collects statistics about businesses to understand the economy, and to measure businesses and their economic impact.
This "business" census serves as the most extensive collection of data on the health of the economy.
Nearly 4 million businesses, all sizes, covering most industries and all geographic areas of the nation received surveys tailored to their primary business activity.
The 2017 Economic Census data is being released on a flow basis by state between September 2019 and December 2021. To see what data has been released by which state, use the interactive visualization.
