The Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is seeking comments on revisions to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for 2022.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has the statutory responsibility of collecting and publishing monthly information on employment, the average wage received, and the hours worked by area and industry.
In collecting data, BLS uses the NAICS as a taxonomy or coding system to categorize business into various industry sectors.
The Federal Register Notice (FRN) for soliciting proposed changes and comments for the NAICS 2022 update was published here.
Please share this notice with other data users. Users will have 60 days to respond to the federal register notice beginning on February 26, 2020, the FRN's publication date.
